"The world of gyroplanes has progressed so much in the past 5 years thanks to the introduction of stable two seat gyroplanes such as the Rotorsport MT03, the sport, Magni M16 & 24 and not forgetting the fully enclosed Calidus. Twelve years ago I knew that one day we would be blessed with these types of flying machines so I set about building a flight training school here at Kirkbride in Cumbria.
I have based the flying school on a professional, accessible and friendly basis, located in open airspace with superb facilities including hard and grass runways, briefing rooms and wireless broadband for those who need to keep in contact. We have two full time CAA approved gyroplane instructors with over 4500+ hours experience, a ground school examiner and a flight examiner so everything can be completed here at Kirkbride.
You are also in the hands of the most experienced Lake District pilots for that special trial/scenic flight you've always dreamed of."
Chris Jones CFI
The Chris Jones Gyroplanes flying school is a member of the British Rotorcraft Association (BRA), and both of our full time instructors are listed in their directory of qualified UK gyroplane instructors.
