Hi and welcome to the North Lakes Gyroplane Club

This page has been set up for the benefit of all who fly gyroplanes and anyone who wants to join our club will be made most welcome. The benefits are of course, Kirkbride Airfield in Cumbria, with its many features including tarmac and grass airstrips, an excellent club house, kitchen and shower room.

There is also the wonderfully warm welcome and reassurance of being in the company of two full time instructors. With their knowledge of gyroplanes and the region, its just another great reason to join our club. The area includes the Lake District and the Solway Firth with its many beaches. All of these are in unrestricted airspace and waiting to be discovered.

We actively encourage Fly Ins and Fly outs as part of the North Lakes Gyroplane Club and have recently taken the Famous 5 (9pob) around the west coast of Scotland for 4 days. Look at www.chrisjonesgyroplanes.co.uk for the latest video on YouTube.

We could mention Hadrians wall, the Eden Valley, the 13 lakes visible from the top of Helvellyn and various alternative fields to fly to ie Carlisle, Glassonby, Bedlands gate, Cark... but the best way to discover us is to visit us in Cumbria and see for yourself.

I am sure once you have experienced what our area has to offer you will want to join our gyroplane club. We can help you with your purchase and training with complete independence and look forward to meeting you at Kirkbride. We can also arrange local B&B for anyone who wishes to stay overnight.
